At school, we use some consistent practices across our schools to encourage responsible use of digital technology. This includes our iPad SMARTS and the use of a color coded system to indicate where our devices should be.
iPads RED indicates that iPads should be off and put away.
iPads YELLOW indicates the iPad is out, but is turned over and off.
iPads GREEN indicates that the iPad is out and open, and that students are ready for instructions.
We place responsibilities on students that include knowing a passcode to protect their iPad, remembering their Google password, not allowing other students to use their iPad, and to have their iPad fully charged each night.
Be aware! Talk to your child about what they are learning and have them share with you about some of the apps and/or websites they are using.
