Welcome
At The Beacon School, we believe that wellbeing matters just as much as academic success. Young people do best when they feel safe, supported and understood, and we know that this happens most effectively when school and home work in partnership. This website has been created to support that partnership. It brings together information about the external wellbeing agencies and organisations we work with, alongside practical advice and guidance for parents and carers about how to support wellbeing at home.
On this website, you’ll find:
Clear information about trusted external services that support young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. An explanation of how these services fit alongside the support offered in school. Helpful, realistic strategies parents can use to support their child through challenges.
We understand that parenting teenagers can be complex, and that worries about wellbeing can feel overwhelming at times. This is intended to be a reassuring, accessible guide—not an instruction manual - so if you ever have concerns, questions or need further guidance, our pastoral team is always here to help.
Supporting our students’ wellbeing is a shared responsibility, and we value the role families play in this hugely important work.
Many thanks,
The Inclusion Team
