What is Catch22? 

Catch22 is a long‑established UK charity and social business that works with children, young people and families to improve wellbeing, engagement and life chances. Catch22 has designed and delivered services that support young people facing a range of challenges, including difficulties with education, mental health, behaviour, and engagement with school or the community. Catch22 works in partnership with schools, local authorities and other agencies to provide early intervention, targeted support and specialist services. 

Who does Catch22 support? 

Young people who may be: 

• Struggling with emotional wellbeing or mental health 

• At risk of disengaging from education Experiencing instability, exploitation or complex family circumstances 

• Finding mainstream education challenging 

Their services are designed to help young people feel safe, build resilience and develop aspiration.

What support does Catch22 offer? 

• Wellbeing and mental health support 

• Emotional wellbeing programmes and counselling services (in some secondary schools) 

• Targeted support for young people experiencing stress, anxiety or emotional difficulties 

• Family and early‑help interventions 

Education and engagement

• Support for pupils who are struggling in mainstream education 

• Alternative provision schools for young people with additional needs or who are at risk of exclusion 

• Programmes to re‑engage students with learning and improve attendance, behaviour and confidence 

Targeted youth support 

• Services for young people at risk of exploitation or involvement in harmful behaviours 

• Work focused on building positive choices, safety and life skills

Their work focuses on early help, trusted relationships and practical support to help young people regain confidence, stability and ambition.
