What are Leadership Development Events?
The primary goal of Leadership Development Events is to develop individual responsibilities, foster teamwork, and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement. Leadership development events should reflect instruction that currently takes place in the entire agricultural education program, including classroom instruction, laboratory instruction, and student’s supervised agricultural experiences. LDEs are intended to be an outgrowth of instruction.

Gillett FFA members will be competing at the 2027 District 23 Leadership Development Events at Pulaski Community Middle School: Date TBD
All competitors who compete at the District Level are also committing to compete at the Sectional Competition on Thursday, March 4th at Oconto Falls High School if they qualify, the State Competitions at the WI State FFA Convention on June 14-17 if they qualify as well as the National FFA LDE Competitions in October 2027, if they qualify.

Parliamentary Procedure
Prepared Public Speaking
Middle School Quiz Bowl
Contests which are State Only and DO NOT require prior qualification to participate in are:
Agricultural Issues Forum
Conduct of Chapter Meetings
To participate in the High School Quizbowl Contest, students must take a knowledge test at Sectionals to determine if they qualify for state.
