HOLA, CIAO, BONJOUR, GUTEN TAG, NI HAO
It is my personal mission to stimulate student’s natural curiosity concerning the world around them. I believe it is important to help my students make personal connections with their learning by discovering how the past relates to their own lives in social studies. My goal is to increase my student’s awareness and understanding of many different cultures which impact our own. As a result, I believe they will be better equipped as citizens and leaders in the 21st century. I am excited to have your child in my class.
I teach both grade level social studies and honors social studies. What is the difference you might ask? No, it doesn't mean that my honors classes have more homework! In all of my social studies classes I embrace the process of inquiry. In my honors classes we will be studying the same themes in history but students will be required to understand the content material in an accelerated fashion so we can proceed with high level activities and deeper mental synthesis. My goal is to challenge students thought process, develop academic researchers and create modern problem solvers in all my students.
