Meet Mr. Wines
I am originally from Upstate New York and graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science. I went on to work in the environmental industry and e-commerce before earning my teaching certificate and beginning my second career in education. This is my 10th year teaching and my 6th year at Desert Ridge.
About AP Environmental Science
AP Environmental Science (APES) is a science class offered to 11 & 12th grade students. Students will study how chemistry and physics drives Earth’s natural processes and how humans affect those processes. Students will improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. They will work individually at times but more often will be in cooperative groups. All students are expected to be productive, ask questions, remain positive, be helpful and respectful to others, and be responsible young adults.
