Arguments (3 points)

• Each body paragraph is an argument

• Topic sentence relates to thesis statement and tells what the body paragraph is about

• Explain your argument, not just stated

• Each body paragraph needs historical evidence to prove arguments

• Evidence is used to back up your argument accurately

• Can be a quote or paraphrase of primary or secondary source

• Explain how it relates to the prompt 

Conclusion (1 point)

• Impact on history

• What happens next in history (how does this prompt impact history going forward)?

• Proper use of the English language for quality writing
