We’re parents, teachers, and neighbors working together to make Greathouse even better for every student. Get to know the team behind this year’s PTA programs and events!

Cindy Evensen - President

Cindy is mom to a GH Lion in 3rd grade and a 6th Grader at Barrett — and brings her creative energy and heart to her role as President after serving as VP of Programs previously. She loves being part of the PTA and finds joy in seeing students light up at every event. From planning special activities to helping make school memories, Cindy is all in. Outside of PTA life, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and cheering on her daughters in dance and cheer.

Beth Mitchell - VP of Outreach

aka “Tying the Community Together (with Yarn & Kindness)”

Beth is mom to Brenlee (3nd grade) and Brady (1st grade), and serves as our VP of Outreach. She joined the PTA to help bring more fun, energy, and creativity to school events — and she’s already doing just that! Beth brings her skills in event planning and her love for people into everything she does. When she’s not helping families feel welcome at Greathouse, you might find her decorating cakes, crocheting gifts, or sipping a Vanilla Coke.

Tiffany Tigert - VP of Communications

aka “Messenger-in-Chief”

Tiffany is mom to Lorelai (3nd grade) and Graham (5-years-old) and serves as VP of Communications. She joined the PTA to get more involved and give back to the school community she loves. Tiffany helps keep families informed and engaged, whether it's through social media, flyers, or quick updates from the PTA. Outside of school, she does the bookkeeping for her family’s two local Smoothie King franchises and is also an office manager for a real estate appraisal office in Jeffersonville, IN. In her downtime, she enjoys crocheting and getting lost in a good book.

Greathouse/Shryock School Leadership – Our Partners in Learning

Ms. Kim Slusher – Principal

Ms. Slusher has dedicated her entire career to JCPS, serving as both a teacher and an administrator. She’s taught every grade from Kindergarten through 5th, driven by a deep belief in aligning curriculum and instruction to support all learners. She and her husband, Bill, have been married for 21 years and are the proud parents of Jack, an aspiring pilot, and their playful 2-year old dog, Lucy.

Mr. Michael Ice - Assistant Principal

There’s no job too big or too small for Mr. Ice — and that’s exactly why our students, staff, and PTA adore him. With over 27 years in education, he’s the kind of leader who shows up in full spirit: directing traffic, rallying kids in the cafeteria, MC’ing talent shows, and bringing authenticity to every school moment, he dives into all events with infectious energy, humor, and heart — making Greathouse feel like home for every student. If you follow Mr. Ice on social media (like Mr. Ice’s Class), you’ll see just how much he cares about this community. He’s always the first to say yes and the last to leave.

Ms. Meagan Anderson – Administrator

Ms. Anderson has worked in education for 20 years with JCPS and is passionate about supporting the academic and emotional growth of all students. When she’s not working hard to support GH families, she enjoys spending time outdoors boating and camping with her own family — including her second grader and four-year-old. She also loves playing sports and staying active.
