This summer, the Port Angeles School District is upgrading all staff computers to Windows 11. This upgrade will improve system performance, enhance security, and ensure compatibility with modern educational tools.

🔄 Migration Overview

• All staff computers will be replaced with Windows 11 devices.

• The upgrade will take place during summer break, with new systems ready for the start of the school year.

• Staff were asked to back up all important files to remote storage before leaving for summer.

📁 Backup Options

Staff were encouraged to use:

• The district’s S: drive (recommended)

• OneDrive, Google Drive, or an external drive

   Subject: Reminder: Prepare for Windows 11 Upgrade – Action Required
   Reinforced the need to back up files and listed recommended storage options. Offered support for anyone needing help.

3. June 5, 2025
   Subject: Windows 11 Upgrade – Staff Computer Replacements & File Backup Required (ACTION REQUIRED)
   Provided detailed instructions for file backup and outlined the replacement process. Emphasized urgency and included contact info.

4. June 10, 2025
   Subject: Final Reminder: Back Up Your Files Before the Summer Upgrade
   Final call to action before summer break. Thanked staff for their work and reminded them to complete backups.
