Windows 11

 Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025 (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-home-and-pro). To ensure our systems remain secure and up-to-date, the Port Angeles School District will be upgrading all staff PCs to Windows 11 during the upcoming summer break. 

Why Upgrade to Windows 11?

• Modern Interface: Enjoy a sleek and user-friendly interface designed to enhance productivity.

What to Expect:

• Upgrade Timeline: The upgrade process will begin after school lets out in June and is expected to be completed by the first day for the 2025-26 school year.

• Preparation: Please ensure that all important files are backed up and saved to a secure location before the upgrade begins. This will help prevent any loss of data during the transition.  How do I back up file or saved them to a secure location? Save to your S: drive

• Support: Our IT team will be available to assist with any issues or questions you may have during and after the upgrade process.
