This page contains links to and information about a variety of free, online games. Some are from German children's media, like Sendung mit der Maus, while others are websites with educational games about specific tops or skills. Even those with little language will give students an opportunity to do something fun in a German-language interface.
Games for younger students are at the top of the page. Scroll down this page for more complex games for older students.

This memory game has seven increasingly difficult levels.
Turn your sound on and click to enter the Forschergarten (researchers' garden). Here, there are many young researchers who have projects they are working on. Can you help them? The level of difficulty varies, and each project becomes more challenging as you work on it. Probably most interesting for grades 1-4.

Many pages have audio to accompany the text.
Probably best for grades 3 and up.
Hanisauland is a site with educational materials about civics, political systems, and geography. It has a variety of games that inform or test your knowledge about these topics, as well as other "Hanisauland"-themed games that are just for fun.
The geography and civics content ranges from about 4th-7th grade, though there are games that could also be enjoyed by younger students.
