This page features things to listen to - podcasts, audio stories, and some streaming radio. Podcasts and other audio are a great way to listen to news and stories in German, even if it's in the background while doing other activities.
There are also some audio book options in the Reading section.
Kakadu podcast episodes take different forms: some are fictional stories, some cover topics in the news, and some look into questions in the natural and social sciences.
Mikado presents radio and podcasts for children and youth from a public broadcaster.

Mikado am Morgen has new 50-minute episodes every Sunday. There is a topic of the week from current events, history, the time of year, and monthly book tips.
Hörspiele from Mikado are also 50-minute episodes. They mostly cover topics from literature, history, and culture.
Radiofüchse has short podcasts and blog posts made by kids and for kids about current social topics.
There are also blog posts, games, and short video segments to explore.

This is a podcast for curious kids and adults. The "Schlaulichter" cover a specific topic in each episode with playful stories and camaraderie. The topics vary a lot across science and culture themes.

Mystery novels and detective shows are popular in many forms in German-language media. TKKG is a long-running book series about teenage detectives. Some is available in audiobook form online.
