Miguel's professional purpose is to guarantee the operation of an infrastructure intensive maritime waterway, thus ensuring its sustainability.

In his role, he manages the Panama Canal´s infrastructure and equipment assets, seeking operational efficiencies and lower costs; ensuring availability when required.

He is a people-oriented person and works closely with his collaborators; seeks to persuade them to go the extra mile through teamwork. He is always open to the opinions of others before making decisions.

He has been a fundamental part of the Panama Canal expansion program, involved in verifying the quality and effectiveness of the engineering designs of all works related to the project.

He leads by example and understands that he does not work alone, always trying to motivate his team to reach their maximum potential. His goal is to find multiple alternatives and the best solutions to all the challenges that may arise.

Miguel enjoys family time, learning about other cultures while traveling, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
