Leading Feedback and Coaching Communications

Feedback is a critical communications tool for ensuring high performance on teams and in organizations, as well as for motivating and providing meaning for employees.  Yet, providing effective feedback - both positive and constructive - is challenging.  In this session, we'll explore the cognitive biases that make it difficult to give and receive effective feedback, as well as learn a framework for giving feedback. Participants will practice this framework on real-world case examples.  Additionally, we'll learn about how to lead coaching conversations as an additional tool to motivate employees, help with judgment and decision-making, and navigate difficult conversations (including difficult feedback conversations).  Participants will practice coaching techniques real-time in order to ensure that they are comfortable and knowledgeable about this critical leadership tool.
