Participants will not only learn about data-driven decision making and analysis but also discuss how to handle uncertainty, which is a critical aspect of making informed decisions based on data. Decision trees will be reviewed as a useful tool for organizing data and modeling uncertainty. Participants will be provided in class with a short case to analyze data and discuss the best decision for a Coast Guard search and rescue mission.
