Hello everyone and welcome to the IGCSE Business & BTEC Business 'Above and Beyond' page. This page provides interesting tasks and resources for all business students.

In preparation of IGCSE Business we have shared with you a variety of introductory research tasks, as well as useful websites, news links, podcasts and TEDtalks to gain a wider understanding of types of businesses, how they function and the issues businesses face in the current climate. You can research into real businesses and the opportunities and challenges they face to measure the impact this has on the main stakeholders of the business. 

To prepare for BTEC Business, you will work on two  tasks which allow you to develop and enhance your understanding of business organisations and their functional areas. In the first task you will research and find out the different types of business ownership with examples as well as their advantages and disadvantages. In the second task you will delve deeper and look at the key functional areas and how they can enable an organisation to meet its aims and objectives.
