Join us for an introduction to free health information and educational resources for K-12 professionals provided by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and other trusted organizations. This session will cover general health resources, drug information, multi-cultural and multi-language resources, career/professional resources, and youth health issues. Also learn how NLM’s Network (NNLM) supports school librarians with free trainings, program ideas, and funding opportunities. Bring your stories and questions to this engaging session!
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
Identify health resources from the National Library of Medicine
Find and apply NNLM resources for K-12 populations that can be used for lesson planning, homework help, research projects, and/or health and science programming
Collaborate with other librarians, teachers, and health staff on improving health information outreach in schools
