Summary: Join us for a brief writing workshop and the opportunity to have your work published in the inaugural Guam IRA online anthology.* We welcome poetry and stories that are reminiscent of the language, culture, customs, beliefs, values, and the way of life in our Pacific region. Be a part of Pacific history, and share your valuable voice for generations to come!

NOTE*You must be a current IRA member and have attended at least two general membership meetings to have your work considered for inclusion in our online anthology.

Biography: Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera is an ESL Coordinator/Teacher for the GDOE. She has served in this capacity for almost 20 years. She serves as an adjunct Professor for the Department of English and Applied Linguistics at the University of Guam's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. She previously served as the TESOL Program Chair for UOG's School of Education (SOE). She has also served as an adjunct for the TESOL, Reading, and Instructional Technology Programs at SOE. She is the President for the Guam International Reading Association (IRA), as well as the webmaster for Pacific Islands Bilingual Bicultural Association (PIBBA), UOG-SOE Alumni Association, Ginen I Hila I Maga' Taotao Siha Association, Guam Nikkei Association, and Palau Language Commission. She also serves as an adjunct professor for the English Department at the Guam Community College and College of Education at Argosy University.
