Google Extensions are little programs that add functionality to your browser. They can do variety of things such as capturing screenshots, adding a page to your Google Drive, and even checking your emails for grammar mistakes! You name it, there's probably an extension for it. Extensions can be a powerful tool in the classroom.
To get started, open the Google Chrome Store. You can search for a particular extension or a general type of extension. You can also filter extensions by category. The following video gives you a two minute introduction to Google Extensions.
To practice, type in the word classroom in the Google Chrome Store search bar and choose the Add to Google Classroom extension from the list of results. Click Add to Chrome. Now you will have the Add to Google to Classroom extension to the right of your address bar. Once you click on it, you'll sign in (the first time only) and now you're all set to share websites directly to Classroom!
