The countdown to the end of the year continues. We only have 17 school days left to go! This week, I encourage all our owls to take a look at what you have left to accomplish for the year. Are you on track to finish on time or early? Do you need support with a plan to ensure you complete all your courses before the semester ends? Are you meeting your grade goals? This year has been all about THRIVING…now is the time to look at these last few weeks as another opportunity to demonstrate your ability to thrive in your education.  The best part of our program is that you are never alone. All your teachers are here to support you, encourage you, and help you as you finish this year out strong. Please reach out if you need anything. #iUPThrives

• iUniversity Prep PTA Teacher Appreciation

  • PTA needs your help celebrating our teachers. This year’s theme is Sweet and Spicy.

• Student Success Snapshot #3: Monday, May 6th.

  • Letters have been sent to any students that are not passing all their courses. Please make sure you review these and create a plan for successfully completing all your work.

  • Congrats to all our students who have earned the Dean’s List of Excellence recognition.

• New Student Enrollment is Now Open for the 2024-2025 school year: If you have siblings, friends, or family interested in joining us next year, please encourage them to attend one of our upcoming information sessions. CLICK HERE to learn more.

• End of Semester Countdown:

  • Last Day of School is May 31st! 

    • All assignments are due by 5 PM.

    • Students should be passing all courses prior to 5 PM.

    • Seniors must be passing by May 28th.  See details below.   

  • Corrections Due date: May 29, 2024.

  • Normal Live Lesson schedule: April 29 - May 16, 2024

  • Open Office Days: May 20 - May 31, 2024

  • Owl Expo: May 17th from 5-8PM in GCISD at the PDEC building.

  • End of Year Parties: Austin on May 10 and DFW May 17.

  • PTA Launch: May 17, Time is TBD.

  • iUP Graduation is May 31st.

• Seniors MUST be passing by May 28th:

  • In order to qualify for graduation, Seniors must be passing all courses (at least a 70% in each course) by 4 pm on May 28th.   

  • Seniors may continue to work in their courses past this date for a higher grade. 

  • Seniors - continue to complete your senior checklist to ensure you have met all requirements for graduation. Please reach out to your PRIDE teacher for any questions.

• High School Students TSIA2 Testing Now Available Online: 

  • The TSIA2 is an exam that you can take to prove that you are ready for college-level Math and English courses, including Dual Credit. All public Texas colleges require TSI entrance exams to determine if you need remedial Math or English before starting college-level coursework. You can be exempt from these entrance exams with scores from other sources such as SAT, ACT, and TSIA2. It is recommended that you have taken Alg II or are in the course before taking the Math portion.

  • We are now able to offer this test online to be taken from the comfort of your own home. CLICK HERE for more information.

• Download the GCISD APP: You can get all the updates that are posted on the school website on the app. This is another great way to get quick information about events and news. CLICK HERE for more information. Word from Wisely announcements will still be delivered through Virtual Vine and alerted by email.

• iUPrep now has a LETTER JACKET: All 9th-12th grade students may purchase a letter jacket. We will have special patches that can be earned based on club participation and merit. CLICK HERE for more information.
