The Office of the Creative Endeavors Council, in partnership with the Literature and Language Studies Department, organizes the Meet The Writer Series: On Feminine Becoming and Intoning conducted on October and November 2023
For the first part of this series, Roda Tajon gave her talk on aesthetic ideologies and queer representations in Philippine Literature. Mia Tijam, with her expertise in speculative fiction and purposeful use of language in her book "Flowers for Thursday", discussed feminist and queer writing as depicted in literature and women’s reclaiming of their voices and spaces in the second part of the series. Finally, Jaya Jacobo delivered her talk on the diversity of experience as well as the genealogy of self-discovery and world-making attendant to a Bikolnon reckoning with the planet.
29 September 2023 - Led by Mr. Joseph Larence Paculan, the Creative Endeavors Council for Digital Arts organized a hybrid talk on Exploring Digital Art Tools on 29 September.
The goal of the talk was to equip the participants with different techniques for digital arts and to discuss their copyright and fair use.
Mr. Patrick Aaron Molaer, an Adobe Certified Professional - Photoshop and a faculty of the Digital Arts and Computer Animation Department, served as the guest speaker for the event.
29 November 2023 - Students from the Senior High School and College units joined the one-day Latin and Standard Ballroom Dance Workshop this afternoon, trained by the founder & president of Naga Horizon Dance Company Felix B. Celeste Jr. at the University Gymnasium.
The workshop began with immediate discussions of the history, costumes, and background of ballroom dancing, followed by dance routine exercises to warm up and prepare their bodies, ending with dancing chachacha and rumba by partners.
17 November 2023 - Hosted by the Dance Unit of the Creative Endeavors Council, the Fusion Frenzy: Dance Showdown gathered several dance troupes in the University Gymnasium on 17 November.
Members of the Ateneo Dance Club (ADC), Ateneo IgKnights, and Ateneo de Naga Junior High School Dance Club competed in the said contest.
Among the guests are the students from the Camarines Sur National High School - Special Program in the Arts Program and AMDC.
The event was in collaboration with the Naga City Dance Life, Teatro Aliento de Ateneo, and The Otaku League.
2 December 2023 - The Creative Endeavors Council, together with the Teatro Aliento de Ateneo, held its Basic Acting, Dancing, and Tigsik Writing workshops with Feeding activity at Northern Canaman High School on 2 December 2023 in celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis Xavier.
18-19 August 2023 - The Creative Endeavors Council served as one of the sponsors during the RIGMAT: Arts and Culture Festival., city-wide celebration promoting the local landscape of creatives and artists in Naga.
CEC took part in the Litratistan Bikolnon, RUSO X VGallery Pop Up Fair, RITMO: Dance Workshop and Performances, Cosplay, and ROLYO: Pelikula asin Bikol.
1 December 2023 - CEC Head for Theater Dr. Elsie Albis led the staging of the play, “Pamahaw na, Andoy!”, a play produced by the Bantayog Productions, with the direction of Dan Benedict Agorita and the musical direction of Jeremy Pronto. The Play was written by Eugeni Joseph Belches.
The play was staged at the Alingal Multipurpose Hall on 1 December 2023.
In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis Xavier and the 20th Anniversary of the Bonoan Campus and Co-education in the High School, a student-produced Musical play entitled "SIERRA: A Javierada Musical" was staged by Grade 10 Junior High School students of the Ateneo de Naga University on 1 December at the Alingal Multipurpose Hall.
The play shed light on the mission of the Society of Jesus in Bukidnon and the plight of the Lumad community.
