What is TCHATT?
Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) provides telemedicine or telehealth programs to school districts to help identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents and provide access to mental health services.
Contact Mrs. Wakefield if you would like a referral. Once established, appointments can be attended online at Garner ISD.
If you feel you are experiencing a mental health or substance use emergency but your safety or the safety of others is NOT at immediate risk:
CALL, TEXT, CHAT
Text 741741
Need help? Just text 741741—we’re here to listen. Your first message can say anything, and if you use words like “HOME,” “START,” or “HELLO,” it helps us know how you found us. We’re here for you, no matter what you’re going through—whether it’s stress, anxiety, loneliness, bullying, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts.
Get Connected
After you text us, you’ll get a couple of quick messages while we connect you with a live, trained volunteer Crisis Counselor. They’re here to listen and support you—usually within five minutes, though it might take a little longer during busy times.
Chat At Your Own Pace
The volunteer Crisis Counselor will listen, ask questions, and offer empathetic support—no judgment, no pressure. Your trained volunteer is here to support you with care and understanding—but remember they’re not a medical professional and can’t provide medical advice.
Finding a Place of Calm
Your conversation ends when you feel safe and more at ease. Whether that means connecting you with additional support or simply listening, we’re here for you. A conversation usually lasts anywhere from 15-45 minutes. Save 741741 in your phone so you have support at your fingertips whenever you need it.
