Playing sports in college - If you plan on competing at a Division I, II or III college you need to be eligible. Make sure you meet with your counselor early in your high school years to make sure you get enough core credits and follow the information on this worksheet.
If you are needing to defer your admissions for church, military or other reasons make sure you follow the instructions that are listed at the institution you are intending to attend. Make sure you defer your admissions and scholarships of available. Another good idea is to fill out a "release of information" or "FERPA release". This allows a parent/guardian to act in your behalf while you are away and take care of needed business. I am attaching links to some of the schools with the information they have released regarding this issue.
