Dear ________,
Thank you once again for hosting me during our World of Learning Week, 9-13th June. I am particularly excited about (add in at least one aspect of the placement you are looking forward to/ hoping for)
I was wondering if you could please share the following details to help me prepare for my placement with you:
May I confirm that my working hours are x to y?
What would be the appropriate dress code for your company?
Where is the best place to meet you on Monday 9th June?/ May I confirm that on the first day, I will report to the lobby of (business address)?
Is there a bus stop or MRT station nearby?
What materials would I need to bring for the first day? Will I need to bring my own lunch? Do I need some sort of ID with me?
If I am unable to reach you by email, what is your preferred alternative contact detail?
During this week, one of my teachers will reach out to me to discuss my progress. This will be online, probably on the Thursday or Friday. You are invited, but not obliged to drop in and provide feedback on my work. I will also be asking you for some feedback at the end of the week too.
With this in mind, please could you let me know if you have a preferred meeting time and date that would be least disruptive to our work day?
Excited for this opportunity and look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
2. Work out how to get there (ideally by public transport).
How long should you allow to get there? (and allow at least another 15-20 minutes on the first day in case something happens)
Make sure your bus card has credit on it!
3. Plan what to wear! Do you have appropriate clothing to wear for a whole week? It might be time to hit the shops.
Plan your wardrobe for the week - Monday- Friday!
Play Dress-code Kahoot with your class.
