The HLP is an important part of our academic language provision to support bi/multilingualism.
It is not possible to schedule provision for all languages within the academic timetable and so the
HLP is designed for students who want to maintain and develop a home or heritage language but
who do not study this language as part of the taught curriculum.
It features weekly, paid-for, personalized lessons in groups of 3-6 students after school or during
lunch times.
The range of languages in the HLP is subject to demand and availability of a suitable teacher and for this reason can vary year to year.
