Remember to power it off when it is not in use!
Clean the projector's air filter or vents if they get dusty, or if you see a message telling you to clean them.
Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord.
Gently remove the dust using a small vacuum designed for computers or a very soft brush (such as a paintbrush).
Note: You can remove the air filter so you can clean both sides of it. Do not rinse the air filter in water, or use any detergent or solvent to clean it.
Caution: Do not use canned air. The gases may leave a flammable residue or push dust and debris into the projector's optics or other sensitive areas.
If your projector bulb blows or there are obvious signs the bulb isn't working it must be replaced. Your site may have extra light bulbs on hand for immediate replacement. Typically, your Office Manager is the best person to speak with about doing this.
Projector bulbs contain mercury and should be handled with care. In addition, they must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Skin oils on the bulb can greatly reduce its lifespan so it is important to not touch the glass while replacing. In most cases your Client Services tech should be the person replacing your projector bulb. The Office Manager can facilitate this by submitting a Help Desk ticket.
