When asked if students would rather stay in the United States or move if they could live anywhere in the world, it was a very close decision. Almost 50/50! Here are a few of our students responses. 

1.) Stay in US: I chose to stay in the US because if I wanted to go somewhere else I could just visit.

2.) Stay in US: I like my house.

3.) Move: because the US is boring and not fun.

4.) Move: I would wanna move to Texas or Oklahoma.

5.) Move: Mexico is way better from food and drinks.

When people go to the store they always grab the same boring chips: Hot Cheetos and Takis; but there are much better and underrated chips on the shelf like the Spicy Limon flavored Doritos. They are maybe one of the most underrated chips ever. They have such a good flavor to them like the spiciness and the lime flavor is just so good. 

People also often compare them to dynamites because they are technically the same flavor, they are both labeled as Doritos, and are both by Frito Lay; however they are very different. Dynamites have more of a lime taste to them and are spicy, but don’t taste like it. On the other hand the actual Doritos have a very good distribution of flavor. 

I also feel like the Spicy Limon flavor is better than the other spicy flavors Doritos has to offer. Cool Ranch and Spicy Nacho are good, but they really don’t compare to the flavor of the Spicy Limon flavor. 

Overall, in conclusion Spicy Limon Doritos are they best underrated chip there is and people should start buying them more than the other basic chips everybody else buys.

Have you ever asked “why do I need to come to school everyday?” Well aren’t you reading this right now… Without school you wouldn't know basic life skills. For example you wouldn't be able to read, write, do math or anything really. Like if you think about it you would have no friends at all. School is really important. It helps with social skills. Without school you would have no social life at all. Plus when you come to school you can get incentives. But let me get into the details.

Okay, so not coming to school has a lot more cons than you think. Even if it's just not coming to school for one day. If you don’t come to school you can have missing assignments and that messes with your grades, like a lot. When you don't come to school you can miss really important things. When you do come to school you can see your friends. Even if school is really boring (because believe me, it is sometimes) you should always pay attention, and you should always show up to class. Also, if you don’t come to school you will get picked up by a police officer from your house and they will have to take you to school. If you don't come to school your parents could also get in trouble and they could have to go to court. So not coming to school  could not only get you in trouble, but your parents too. 

Coming to school is really important cause if you didn't come to school you would be at home everyday and just be bored out of your mind. Coming to school is really important. So you should come everyday even when you don’t want to.

Have you ever thought about why your parents tell you not to waste water? This is because we need to save water resources. To keep our daily activities going, like growing food, and preserving natural habitats, it's important to conserve water because using water saving techniques helps save money and diverts less water from rivers, which helps keep our environments healthy. If we save water, prices would go down because there wouldn't be high demand. 

Now, how do we save water? Taking shorter showers, taking baths, turning water off while washing vegetables, dishes, shaving or brushing your teeth. Doing full loads of laundry, checking for leaks and even cleaning your driveway with a brush can all help save money and water. Hopefully, now, you'll think about how much water you use, and how much you can save!

Cheerleading, often dismissed as merely a sideline activity, has evolved into a competitive sport, garnering recognition for its athleticism, skill, and teamwork. Proponents argue that cheerleading requires rigorous physical training, including gymnastics, tumbling, and dance, demanding strength, agility, and coordination. Additionally, cheerleading competitions involve complex routines judged on technical proficiency, creativity, and synchronization, akin to other recognized sports. Moreover, the camaraderie and discipline fostered with in cheerleading teams promote values such as teamwork, dedication, and leadership, enhancing the overall athletic experience for participants.

However, detractors contest the classification of cheerleading as a sport, citing concerns over its subjective judging criteria and lack of standardized rules across competitions. Critics 

argue that the emphasis on performance aesthetics may overshadow the athletic aspect, leading to discrepancies in scoring and recognition. Furthermore, safety issues, such as the risk of injuries from stunts and tumbling, raise questions about the adequacy of training and regulation within the sport. Some also question the accessibility of cheerleading, noting disparities in resources and opportunities for athletes from different socioeconomic backgrounds. Disagreements persist within the sports community regarding the recognition and regulation of cheerleading.

While some advocate for formal recognition by athletic organizations and inclusion in school athletic programs, others advocate for stricter safety protocols and oversight to mitigate risks. The debate over whether cheerleading qualifies as a sport reflects broader discussions about the evolving definition of athleticism and the intersection of performance and competition in modern sports culture. Ultimately, the recognition and regulation of cheerleading as a sport require careful consideration of its physical demands, competitive dynamics, and broader implicationsfor athlete welfare and inclusivity.

The food that sustains us during our school days is provided by our district. Our school cafeteria and our campus plays a role in providing food for us. However it's time to address a pressing issue, the quality of the meals served in our school cafeteria.

Above all, what we eat impacts our health and overall well being. Our bodies need nutrients to last. Our minds need proper fuel to perform at their best. Sadly, many school cafeteria menus lack in offering rounded and nutritious meals that are very important for our bodies. The loads of processed foods, high sugar content and limited access of fruits and vegetables contribute to a diet that can negatively affect both our academic achievements and overall health. 

More importantly taste is important too. Food is more than just food, it's an experience. Our cafeteria should be a place where we can enjoy meals that excite our taste buds and uplift our spirits. By focusing on using high quality ingredients and showcasing creativity we can turn our cafeteria into a haven, a place where students eagerly look forward to their next meal and not just because they have to eat, but because they genuinely love the food we could get served.

Enlightening the standard of the food served in our school cafeteria goes beyond catering to our taste preferences or staying to standards; it's about supporting the health and achievements of each student. By offering nutritious and tasty meals we enable students to excel academically physically and emotionally.

The age old question: should gum be allowed on school grounds? 

We have interviewed many people. Many say yes,  however surprisingly there are some other people say no. Why would they say no? They would say that gum is distracting and they don't like gum. They also say that gum is to much of a privilege. 

But, gum could be a use in things because scientist have proven that gum could help you stay focused and help you study for tests. It improves some of your memories too. It also helps to reduce stress, improve alertness, relieve anxiety and increase memory. Those are the benefits of chewing gum in school. 

We have also interviewed some kids at school and their responses were “both have pros and cons like gum can help you think I am pretty sure, but gum also might make our school dirty” and “it helps students relax.” Another student states, "because gum at school helps me do better at work and makes me less stressed and if I haven't eaten anything.” In other words this is why gum should be allowed at school.

In my opinion I think spicy chips are better than regular chips. Why you might ask? Because they have more flavor on your tongue, they're good with everything: like a sandwich or on an elote (corn), dipped in nacho cheese, and even hot chips salad. They go with anything really. Spicy chips also make a good snack like an everyday snack. Also spicy chips are mostly in stores rather than regular chips. C’mon now would you rather eat regular puffs chips over hot puffs chips? Or regular funyuns over flamin' hot funyuns? Can you even imagine regular fries? No, hot fries stay spicy because spicy chips are just better in my opinion. 

About 75% of people enjoy eating spicy chips and the rest of 35% like regular chips. People like spicy chips because of the taste, but not just that, they like it because of the heat sensation in their mouth. Spicy chips trigger their endorphins and create the pleasure and excitement to keep eating hot chips. 

This proves spicy chips for the win!

When people think of Halloween Michael Myers or Freddy Kruger probably come to mind. Many always debate on who's better, so we decided to ask our students who's better to put an end to this debate. 

79.4% of students who voted said Michael Myers is better. One person said, “Michael Myers, his theme song is just, I don’t know, good.” Someone else said, “He is scarier than Freddy Kruger.” But, the majority of students said, “He’s just better."

Even though the majority said that Michael is better, what did the 20.6% of students who voted for Freddy Kruger say? One person said, “Because he can kill with his claws instead of a knife.” Some people couldn’t even choose between them! 

Overall both are loved by many but Michael has been chosen by the majority of students.
