EdTech Presentations 2018-21

This section includes professional development presentations developed and run from 2019-2020 in addition to samples of flyers that were sent to districts to promote instructional technology professional development and training. *Tech Cafe sessions are listed separately in their own tab as are the focused NYSSLS presentations, although many presentations below also contain a STEM component. Continue to scroll down to view presentations from 2020-21.

During school years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21, schools were provided with regional and personalized workshops to support educators teaching in remote, hybrid and concurrent environments. While the 2018-19 school year focused on bite-sized chunks through Tech Cafe sessions and videos showcasing accessibility features, the following years provided more targeted sessions around STEM and personalized workshops for districts.

The Learning Technology Grant provided much needed support for our districts during the pandemic as educators shifted to teaching remotely and in hybrid and concurrent environments. After planning with district admins, sessions were advertised and shared using flyers (such as the one on the right). These sessions followed a similar agenda (I do, we do, you do) and were run on the platform most comfortable for teachers in their respective districts as we modeled how to keep students and educators engaged. When requested, on-demand videos were created. Click through the following presentations to see more.

Blended Learning Workshops

Blended Learning Workshops - Summer 2020

In 2020-21 school year, five sessions around blended learning were held remotely to support teachers as they developed ways to personalize learning in the classroom. Each session consisted of exposure to a new technology tool using a STEM based activity to model the use of instructional technology for formative assessment, engagement and personalization (i.e. meeting needs of specific students). Most participants engaged in more than one session and produced a lesson activity or lesson plan at the end of the fifth session. See the list of strategies below for more info or click here.

District-specific Presentations

In addition to the regional presentations, districts were assessed to determine the needs of teachers at their districts. With that information, we delivered customized professional development and coaching virtually to the 6 schools in the consortium. The following are a list of presentations and resources provided to meet the specific needs of each district.
