Types of Formative Assessments

  5. Self-Assessment, Peer-Assessment and Rubrics

Goals of the book study:

  1. To help teachers learn how to develop formative assessments supported by technology with a focus on ELLs and SwDs

  2. To create a sense of community among grant recipients

  3. To create and share collections of student samples and experiences around the use of technology for formative assessments

Each of the topics listed above will be explored and examined during each individual book study. Each topic will run as its own separate book study group.

Throughout the book study we will discuss current formative assessment practices, how to create them and how to deliver them in our classrooms. We will also reflect and evaluate their effectiveness, share new ideas, and discuss next steps.
