Every month Middle School advisory classes focus on an IB Learner Profile attribute as part of the social-emotional learning component of advisory. The attribute for March is "Knowledgeable". According to the IB, knowledgeable students "explore concepts, ideas and issues that have local and global significance. In so doing, they acquire in-depth knowledge and develop understanding across a broad and balanced range of disciplines." At the end of each month, teachers nominate students who demonstrate the qualities of the Learner Profile attribute and they are recognized during the monthly middle school assembly. This is a non-academic recognition and teachers are encouraged to consider all aspects of student life when submitting their nominations. The following students demonstrated qualities of January's Learner Profile of the Month "Open-Mindedness" and were recognized at the last assembly.
