The 9th Annual GAA International Food Festival

This Friday, February 21st GAA is excited to hold its largest annual event, the International Food Festival (IFF) and we cannot wait to see so many countries celebrated. We encourage all families to come dressed in their traditional dress and bring their country flag, as we will be having an IFF Parade of Nations at 6:15 pm and we'd love to see every Country represented.

We are looking forward to your participation at Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences on March 4^th and 5^th. During this conference, both you and your child should attend. Your child will be provided with the opportunity to share their learning with you and the class teacher.

As we have started the re-enrollment of current students, our Admissions team member will be available at KG Reception, Main Reception and the Gym to assist you with the re-enrollment of your child. We also would like to remind our parents to pass by Admissions office room 002 to scan the renewed Emirates IDs of student and both parents.

Kindergarten and Elementary School: Student-Led Conference

Please note that Kindergarten and Elementary require an appointment.

KG - Grade 5 Link for Booking: Booking Your Conference

Click here to book your conference times using SchoolBookings, our new parent-teacher conference scheduling program. Before booking, please be aware of your child’s homeroom section and teacher. You will need to select the correct teacher when signing up.

• Wednesday, March 4th: 11:00am – 7:00pm
• Thursday, March 5th: 7:30am – 3:30pm

All teachers in KG and Elementary will host a student-led conference with families in the classroom. Before booking, please be aware of your child’s homeroom section and teacher. You will need to select the correct teacher when signing up.

Please note the following:

• KG specialists will be in the main KG area outside room 83.
• KG Librarian will be in PYP Library.
• Parents who have a booking at the last slot of the day are encouraged to visit the specialist teachers beforehand.
• Grade 1-5 Arabic specialists will be in Mezzanine 1^st floor (in front of Auditorium entrance upstairs)
• Grade 1-5 specialists will be in their rooms, except for PE who will be:
  • KG PE – outside room #83
  • Grades 1-5 PE – Dance Studio (1st floor)

*There is no need to book ahead for a conference time with a specialist teacher.

Secondary School: Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

Grade 6 - 12: There is no need to book ahead for a conference time.

• Wednesday, March 4th: 11:00am – 7:00pm
• Thursday, March 5th: 7:30am – 3:30pm

Secondary students and parents have a walk-in conference arrangement. All secondary teachers will be seated at desks in the gymnasium. You and your child will meet with each of your child’s teachers, as they are available for a brief 10-minute conference. Students are encouraged to attend with their parents.

Please note that there will NOT be regular classes on these two days (March 4th and 5th). We recommend students attend the conferences with their parents.

لقاء الطلاب وأولياء الأمور مع المعلمين

نتطلع إلى مشاركتكم في لقاءات الطلاب وأولياء الأمور مع المعلمين يومي 3 و4 من مارس. تشجع المدرسة على الحضور مع الطلاب، حيث ستتاح الفرصة للطلاب لمشاركة ما تعلموه منذ بداية العام الدراسي مع مدرس الفصل.

نود إعلامكم بأننا قد قمنا بفتح نافذة إعادة التسجيل لطلابنا، سيتواجد موظفو التسجيل عند مدخل رياض الأطفال، المدخل الرئيسي وفي الصالة الرياضية لمساعدتكم في إتمام عملية إعادة التسجيل. بالإضافة لذلك نود تذكيركم بالمرور على مكتب التسجيل رقم 002 في قسم الإدارة لتحديث هوياتكم وهويات الطلاب عن طريق قارئ الهوية.

مرحلة رياض الأطفال والمرحلة الابتدائية: سيتم عقد اللّقاءات بقيادة الطلاب

يتوقع من أولياء أمور مرحلة رياض الأطفال والمرحلة الابتدائية تحديد مواعيد مسبقة للقاء.

ستعقد اللقاءات حسب المواعيد التالية:

• الأربعاء 4 مارس: من الساعة 11:00 صباحًا إلى 7:00 مساءً

• الخميس 5 مارس: من الساعة 7:30 صباحًا إلى 3:30 مساءً

سيقوم معلمو رياض الأطفال والمرحلة الابتدائية بعقد لقاءاتٍ مدتها 30 دقيقة بقيادة الطلّاب مع أولياء أمورهم في الفصل يرجى التأكد من شعبة الطالب واسم المعلم قبل الحجز، لاستكمال التسجيل والحجز بسهولة ويسر.

يرجى أخذ الملاحظات التالية بعين الاعتبار:

• سيتواجد معلمو المواد الفرعيّة لمرحلة رياض الأطفال في منطقة رياض الأطفال (خارج الغرفة رقم 83) للإجابة عن أي أسئلة.

• سيتواجد أمين مكتبة رياض الأطفال في المكتبة PYP.

• ننصح أولياء الأمور الذين قاموا بحجز آخر موعد للقاء بزيارة المدرسة قبل الموعد لتمكن من التّحدث مع معلمي المواد الفرعية قبل موعد اللقاء مع معلم الفصل.

• سيتواجد معلمو المواد العربية في الميزانين في الطابق الأول مقابل مدخل المسرح العلوي.

• سيتواجد معلمو المواد الفرعيّة للصفوف الأول حتى الخامس في غرفهم الصفيّة، باستثناء معلمي الرياضة الذين سيتواجدون في الأماكن التالية:

• سيتواجد معلمو الرياضة لمرحلة رياض الأطفال خارج غرفة رقم 83.
• سيتواجد معلمو الرياضة للصفوف الأول إلى الخامس في مسرح الرقص (الطابق الأول)

* ليست هناك حاجة لحجز موعد مسبق مع معلمي المواد الفرعيّة.

المرحلة الثانوية: لقاءات الطلاب وأولياء الأمور مع المعلمين

الصفوف السادس إلى الثاني عشر: ليست هناك حاجة لحجز موعد مسبق للقاءات. ستتم اللقاءات في المواعيد التالية:

• الأربعاء 4 مارس: من الساعة 11:00 صباحًا إلى 7:00 مساءً

• الخميس 5 مارس: من الساعة 7:30 صباحًا إلى 3:30 مساءً

أما بالنسبة لطلاب المرحلة المتوسطة والثانوية فيمكنكم اللقاء بدون حجز مواعيد مسبقة، حيث سيتواجد جميع الأساتذة في الصالة الرياضية للاجتماع مع أولياء الأمور مدة 10 دقائق.

يرجى العلم بأنه لا يوجد حصص دراسية يومي 4 5 مارس، ولكن نشجع الطلاب على الحضور للمشاركة في اللقاءات مع المدرسين.

Please visit Main Reception for unclaimed lost items of value (such as, phones, airpods, keys, etc)

Our preferred Apple provider, JTRS (Just The Right Solutions), has created an e-store from which you can purchase a number of Apple products below retail costs. JTRS Education is offering discounts on MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs and iPads, as well as add-ons, cases and extended warranties.

Below, you will find a document on how to locate and sign-up for the e-store to see the discounted products and make a purchase. Once purchased, JTRS Education will be in communication with you about when they will be delivered to the school. Once they have been delivered to GAA, you may pick your devices up from the ICT office here at the school.
