Be Nice. Be Safe. Work Hard.
Dear Merton Williams Families-
I am writing to share that I will be leaving Merton Williams Middle School to explore a new opportunity as Principal in another district. My last day here at MW will be October 3, 2025. It has truly been a pleasure and an honor to serve this community both as a teacher and as a part of the administrative team here at MW.
Thank you for your kindness, honesty, and the countless laughs we’ve shared along the way. My greatest joy has been being part of a community that genuinely loves our students and prioritizes their needs in all that we do. Keep working together and don’t forget to thank a teacher!
Do great things!
Dr. Laura Mayer
Dear Merton Williams Families-
While we are incredibly proud of Dr. Mayer and excited for the great things she will accomplish in this next chapter, the news is also bittersweet. We will miss her leadership, dedication, and the positive impact she has had on our school community.
Dr. Mayer has been a valued member of the Merton Williams team for over six years and her commitment to our students, staff, and families is immeasurable. We are grateful for her time at MW and wish her all the best in her new role.
As we look ahead, please know that we are committed to finding a new assistant principal who embodies the Cadet Intentional Values and will be a strong fit for our school. We will work diligently to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition for our students, staff, and families.
We will keep you informed and share more details as they are available. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Be Nice, Be Safe, Work Hard.
