Space and Room Configurations at UCLA DataX
This page provides general room configurations and layouts in the UCLA DataX space. If you are planning an event, please refer to the different configurations below and select your preferred layout when completing the Event and Marketing request form.
Important Notice: Some photos below are slightly outdated. We are in the process of updating the furniture. The overall layout will remain the same, but new furnishings will be in place by 2025 Fall Quarter.

Impact Forum
Impact Forum
What it is: A flexible, enclosed multipurpose room for events and structured gatherings
Ideal for: Research talks, live-streamed and recorded events, workshops, panel discussions, seminars
Seating Capacity:
Group Tables: 32-36 people (8-9 group table set ups, 4-6 per group)
Classroom Style: 36 (16 tables, 2 per table)
Theater Style: 40 (may accommodate more with extra office chairs and/or chair rentals)
Reception: 40+ (standing; may require cocktail table rentals)
Hollow Square & U-Shape: 10-12 people. Configurable upon request - Email jmora@conet.ucla.edu.
Conference Table: 4-20 people

Collaboration Hub
What it is: A dynamic workspace with multiple lounge seating areas
Ideal for: Collaborative work, formal and impromptu discussions, networking
Seating Capacity:
Living Room Setup: 12 people
Optional Group Tables: Up to 12 people (requires two table setups)
Reception: 40+ (standing; may require cocktail table rentals)
