We welcome reservation requests from UCLA faculty, students, departments, centers, institutes, and recognized campus organizations engaged in DataX-related work. All requests are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by our Administrative Director and DataX team to ensure alignment with our mission and capacity. We appreciate your understanding if we are not able to approve every request.
Use the General Meeting Space Request Form if your gathering is simple and self-managed, and does not require any event and marketing support.
Examples: Group meetings (i.e., reading groups), office hours, or study sessions
General meetings may include (but not limited to):
Fewer than 25 attendees
Self-managed A/V set up
DataX staff will train meeting organizers on how to use the A/V equipment for general use.
Hybrid meetings require additional setup and use of our AV equipment (Artome and Heckler cart). DataX staff will guide you through the use of A/V equipment for hybrid meetings. However, hybrid support is not guaranteed during busy weeks. Based on availability, we will coordinate and schedule training. If your meeting is more than 20 attendees, please
No large catering orders, but light snacks or refreshments are allowed with prior approval
No event marketing or flyer promotion needed
No set up/room configuration support from DataX team (However, furniture can be moved by attendees and must be returned to the original layout)
Organized by internal campus groups such as departments, student organizations, centralized units, or research teams
Important Note: If your gathering is fewer than 25 people, but involves additional room set up, vendor coordination, and/or requires marketing or promotion to internal or external audiences, please use the Event Space and/or Marketing Support Request Form.
