💡 HOW TO USE THIS DASHBOARD
1. Learn about each of our space at UCLA DataX in this homepage. Each space includes a brief description on what it is, what it is ideal for, the seating capacity, and how to reserve the space. Pictures are provided (when available) for reference. Calendars (if applicable) are provided to view dates and check availability.
2. Review our Space Use Guidelines as part of the reservation request process. Additional resources include our room configurations and map and directions to DataX.
3. Choose appropriate form to complete a space reservation request at UCLA DataX, depending on your plans to host either an event or meeting.
Each space includes a brief description on what it is, what it is ideal for, the seating capacity, and how to reserve the space. Pictures are provided (when available) for reference. Calendars (if applicable) are provided to view dates and check availability. Use the navigation buttons "< >" on the top left corner of each calendars to view additional dates.
What it is: A flexible, enclosed multipurpose room for events and structured gatherings
Ideal for: Research talks, live-streamed and recorded events, workshops, panel discussions, seminars
Seating Capacity: The Impact Forum can seat up to 40 people. Please see pictures of different layouts in our room configurations page.
How to Reserve: The impact forum is a reservable space found in the Events & Marketing Request form and Meeting Request form.
What it is: A private, closed-door meeting room
Ideal for: Small meetings, private conversations, video conferences
Seating Capacity: The Innovation Conference Room can seat up to 6 people (around a central table).
How to Reserve: The conference room is a reservable space found in the Events & Marketing Request form and Meeting Request form.
What it is: An open workspace with multiple lounge seating areas
Availability: Walk-in basis during open community hours
Seating Capacity: (Varies) Please see seating capacities in our room configurations page.
How to Reserve: The collaboration hub is a reservable space found in the Events & Marketing Request form and Meeting Request form.
What they are: Individual, hotel-style offices for quiet, focused work
Ideal for: Independent work for thinking, reflection, writing, discussion, designing, creating
Seating Capacity: The hotel offices can seat up to 2 people (with 1 desk chair positioned at the workstation and 1 lounge-style chair typically in the corner of the room).
How to Reserve: Our hotel-style offices are primarily reserved for DataX staff, faculty, and graduate students. Eligible guests doing DataX-related work may use available offices on a same-day, drop-in basis only. Find more information and instructions here.
What it is: An informal space for casual meetings or taking a break
Ideal for: Drop-in work, 1-on-1 chats, coffee/lunch break
Availability: Walk-in basis during open community hours (no reservations required)
Seating Capacity: The lounge room can seat up to 8 people, including 6 bar stools at a communal work table and 2 chairs at a desk-style table.
What it is: A private, closed-door meeting room
Ideal for: Small meetings, private conversations, video conferences
Seating Capacity: Conference Room 3322 can seat up to 10 people (around a central table).
How to Reserve: Conference Room 3322 Request Form. Priority reservations will be given to the following offices: EDI, HCI, AASC, and DataX. There are no public calendar available as reservations to Room 3322 are internal.

Purpose: Gatherings that include event logistics coordination and require event promotion + marketing support to a targeted UCLA audience or the entire UCLA community.
Space option(s): Impact Forum, Innovation Conference Room, Collaboration Hub
Purpose: Gatherings that are simple and self-managed with an internal guest list, and does not require any event logisitc coordination, promotion or marketing support.
Space option(s): Impact Forum, Innovation Conference Room, Collaboration Hub
Purpose: Independent work or 1-on-1 meetings
Space option(s): Hotel Offices 1-4
Purpose: Gatherings that are simple and self-managed (priority to EDI, HCI, AASC, and DataX offices)
Space option(s): Conference Room 3322
