Find your Course Preference Form in OrangeAbroad

• Log in to your OrangeAbroad portal. 

• Navigate to Planning Your Schedule to find the link to the Course Preference Form. 

Indicate Your Primary Course Preferences

• Under Primary Course Preferences, choose your first-choice courses only. These courses should represent your ideal schedule in Santiago. A typical course load totals 12 - 16 credits. 

• You may not register for more than 19 total credits without approval from your home college. (Visiting students, you should seek approval from Syracuse Abroad.) Registration over 19 credits is subject to additional per-credit tuition charges. Students in the Renée Crown Honors Program may request to be exempt from the additional charges.

• Please email SantiagoAcademic@syr.edu if you intend to take more than 16 credits while in Santiago. 

• A number of courses are offered one under title but multiple subjects. Please select the prefix under which you'd like to be registered. For example, for CRS/ARC/SOC 380.50 (Chilean Identity in Concrete Images: From Indigenous Groups to Contemporary Architecture), you may enroll under Communication and Rhetorical Studies, Architecture, or Sociology. 

Choose some Alternative Course Preferences

• Select some alternative courses in the event a substitute is needed for a Primary Course Selection that is closed or canceled.

• Please don't choose a course under a different prefix that shares a title with one that you have already selected in Primary Course Preferences! A course with multiple prefixes but one title is a single class that may be enrolled under various subjects. 

Complete and submit the CPF

• Confirm your credit total.

• Submit the form no later than October 29.

• Find a copy of your completed form at the email address you specified on the form.
