Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening (ECS) is a simple careful check for vision, hearing, development, immunization review and family circumstances that may affect development. It is required by the state for all children for entrance into kindergarten. ECS is designed to find problems that can be corrected by early treatment. If you have a child who is four and has not been screened, you may call your local Public Health Office (see list below) to set up a screening appointment. If you have any questions about ECS please call Nicole Ervasti, School Nurse at (218) 837-5101, Ext. 129.
