The MN Department of Human Services, Telephone Equipment Distribution (TED) Program provides assistive telephone equipment at NO CHARGE to Minnesotans who have difficulty using a regular telephone due to a hearing loss, speech, or physical disability. Children’s Defense Fund – Minnesota (CDF) has a unique web tool known as “Bridge to Benefits.” This tool links struggling Minnesota families to important benefits that can lift them out of poverty and help them gain economic stability. Since it began, it has connected many families to energy assistance, health care, child care assistance, food support, school meals, and tax credits. It uses the Internet to quickly and anonymously help families determine fi they are eligible for assistance and then helps with the application process.
