Magnet Communicaitons students work hands-on with state-of-the-art equipment in a variety of editing software to create Independent films, public service announcements, commercials, narrative videos, chase scenes, and so much more.
Every year, Communication students compete in local, regional, national, and worldwide contests including Dallas 24 Hour, South by Southwest, All American Film Fest, and several International festivals. In all of these competitions, you script, shoot, star, and edit your own short film.
During your junior year you will have the chance to be on-screen talent and tech at the school's news program, Eagle Eye. From reporter packages to studio lighting to reporting the news, Communications students do it all.
Magnet Communications gives students that unique opportunity to film live performances of the bands at the Wild Flower Festival and the Smiles benefit Festival.
Students have the opportunity to take a look at the world of film and explore the talents of acting directing and shooting movies.
