Learning analytics tools

Learning Analytics tools provides information and feedback regarding student engagement and course participation. Such data can then be used to make analysis and predictions that help to determine which learning materials are appropriate, useful or irrelevant for the students.

Course analytics reporting tool that provides you the ability to view data from their course, analyze the information, and report back on different areas within the course. You can run different reports for your courses that keep track of how your students are performing.

There are four reports available:

• Course At-a-Glance

• Activity and Grade Scatter Plot

• Activity Matrix

• Course Submission Summary

Performance Dashboard, is a quick one-screen view of student activities. At a glance, you will gain an overview of:

• Last Course Access: The date and time when your students last accessed your course.

• Days Since Last Course Access: The number of days that have elapsed since your students accessed your course.

• Review Status: How many items have been reviewed by your students.

• Discussion Board: How many discussion threads have been generated by your students.

• View Grades: It provides you direct links to the Full Grade Center.

The Retention Center is a Blackboard Tool designed to help you identify students that may be at-risk in your course and require special attention. The main table displays which students are at risk in one or more of four categories:

• Missed Deadlines

• Grades

• Course Activity

• Course Access
