Hello! I'm Wei Ting, a student teacher pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies and Education in the National Institute of Education (NIE). I will be graduating in May 2023, and will officially start teaching thereafter. My CS1 is Chinese Language and my CS2 is Character & Citizenship Education. I will be teaching in Primary Schools upon graduation.

Many may be shocked why I chose to teach Chinese. Since young, Chinese has been my favourite subject in school. I enjoy learning Chinese and could see the beautiful meanings of Chinese characters. Having different representations (from its pronunciation or drawings) of these Chinese characters made me enjoy the language even more. Linking back to today, I feel that it is a pity that most children do not enjoy learning Chinese. Hence, I hope that I can positively influence my students' attitude towards the subject and gradually enjoy learning Chinese.
