Middle School
KPBSD is supporting middle school remote learners across the district with two district-wide teachers.
Program Specifics:
Enrollment
Enrollment is capacity based. Please contact your neighborhood school to determine if there is space in the program.
Once you are enrolled in the iChoice Distance MS program. You will receive a welcome email from the teachers with program specific information.
*Students in Remote MS will need a Chromebook or Laptop computer & reliable access to Internet. You will access Canvas, Gmail & ZOOM daily.
Curriculum
Distance Ed instruction for both the 7th and 8th grade sections of core classes:
Math
Science
English Language Arts
Social Studies
District curriculum programs will be used to create engaging and interactive projects & learning opportunities for Middle school appropriate instruction including Discovery Ed, NewsELA, Saavas Math, ALEKS, etc.
Through blended delivery, Students will have synchronous (ZOOM) class meetings to deliver key content as well as independent work time to complete assigned projects & activities.
Schedule
Class Meetings - Students will meet as a class 2 days a week for community building activities, announcements and more!
Students will attend each core subject class 2 days a week on a set schedule.
Students will meet individually at a set time and day with their teacher for a weekly check-in.
