Grades 9-12 Remote Learning
The Distance Education Team will be supporting high school remote learners across the district.
School Counselors at each high school are the remote learning contact.
Program Specifics
Enrollment
Students will enroll in their neighborhood school.
The school will identify the student as iChoice and enroll the student in the appropriate KPBSD online classes.
Classes
The Distance Education program has a robust list of offerings including all core subjects and electives. For a full list of courses, please refer to the website.
Eligibility
The successful completion of courses WILL impact the student upon returning to their neighborhood school. A student must pass all classes and maintain a 2.0 to be eligible for extracurricular activities upon returning school. Contact your school's athletic director for more information regarding eligibility.
Schedule
The Distance Education program is primarily an asynchronous program with flexible scheduling for meeting with instructors.
Each course provides a pacing guide for successful completion by the end of the semester.
Students taking all online courses will be assigned a Distance Advisor to assist students in managing the course load.
