Knowledge Partner - Knowledge partners collaborate with CTE by engaging directly with students through classroom interaction. This partnership includes providing at least one classroom experience to a Program of Study each semester.
Technical Partner -Technical partners engage with CTE students and teachers by bringing their professional expertise into the classroom, participating in CTE events and as a Program of Study advisor. This partnership includes providing at least one classroom experience per semester and supporting at least two CTE events per year.
Professional Partner - Professional partners support CTE programs by providing field experience opportunities, participating in CTE events, and serving as advisors to help guide the development of the CTE programs.
Workforce Partner - Workforce partners bridge the gap between CTE programs and the world of business and industry by offering real-world experiences. This includes providing opportunities such as field experiences, paid or unpaid student internships, and teacher externships.
Program Partner - Program partners are engaged in most or all aspects of the CTE Programs of Study including program design, assisting with curriculum and instructional materials, field experiences and often teacher training.
Classroom Support - Industry Partners enhance student learning by bringing real-world, industry-level expertise into the classroom through guest speaking, co-teaching or facilitating project-based learning.
Field Experience - Industry partners provide students with opportunities to connect classroom learning to real-world applications through experiences such as field trips, job shadowing, worksite visits, and other hands-on opportunities.
Student Internships - Industry partners collaborate with program instructors and CTE administrators to offer students valuable on-site work experiences, either paid or unpaid.
Teacher Externships - Industry partners host teachers for a five-day, hands-on summer experience aligned with their program of study. This opportunity helps educators stay current with industry trends and gain real-world insights they can translate into engaging, project-based learning for their students.
CTE Events - Industry partners support the growth of the CTE program by participating in district events such as middle school program recruitments and student job fairs, serving as judges for CTSO competitions, and providing valuable feedback on student capstone projects.
Programs - Industry partners contribute to their aligned CTE program of study by supporting curriculum development, providing teacher training, student scholarships and input or donations related to equipment and materials.
Advisory Board - Industry partners support their aligned CTE program of study by participating in regular semester meetings and engaging in a variety of collaborative commitments throughout the year. This involvement helps ensure the curriculum stays aligned with current industry standards and evolving workforce demands.
