What Levers of Change Can I Pull?
- Making a Plan Part I -
* What do "levers of change" mean?
Levers of change are decision-making roles and processes that can help them solve problems and make change in society.
Any organization, person, or technology can be a lever of change, both within and outside of conventional political institutions.
Some levers help us raise awareness (voice) and some help us influence policy (influence). Some levers help us do both.
Businesses/corporations, local/state government, peer groups, and social media networks, etc. can also be levers of change.
[Optional Activity] Levers of change help you tap into the power you need to achieve your goal. What is power? What kind of power do you need? Watch one of the following two videos and think about the right levers of change you need.
