Last class I asked you to come up with a plan for the order of ideas in your essay. Hopefully the "Chinese Agriculture" outline helped (It took me a long time to do...probably longer than some of you spent on your own outlines...😤). Outlining ensures that you have a line of reasoning--Row 4 on the rubric--and helps reduce writer's block. If you have a plan, you will know what to write next.
Today, I want you to focus on your first solution/perspective--that is, the first few body paragraphs after your introduction. You should spend approximately 2-4 paragraphs of your paper covering this first solution. The model paper covers solution #1 in 3 paragraphs, so I would say 3 paragraph is the sweet spot, but length will depend on how many solutions you have and the nature of the content from your research-- more complex or nuanced ideas need more space, less complicated ideas, less space.
For the next couple class periods we will be working on rubric Row #3, below.
It's Flipgrid time, y'all! Before you write, clarify your ideas. Tell the class about the first solution to your research question. Directions in Flipgrid--watch my video.
You will need to be logged into the school G suite account to access this grid. Due Friday before 11:59 pm.

Write the body paragraphs for your first solution/perspective.
You should write 2-4 paragraphs total for solution #1.
All sources you introduce should have APA in-text citations.
You may use stimulus sources as supporting evidence. (You will have to do this at some point in your paper.)
You should give the implication and limitations of this solution/perspective in terms of your larger argument.
Solution #1 body paragraphs are due Monday, 4/13 before 11:59 pm. Share your Google doc with me on G suite to submit.
