At Stripling, we continue to fail forward as we grow throughout our STEM Journey, so we have many goals for our future. One of our first goals is to revise and streamline our school driving question. Currently, it states “ How does Stripling develop “Neighborhood” cohesiveness through STEM initiatives emphasizing community partnerships that develop whole child creativity and critical thinking?” We will be working together as a STEM Committee to make our question more kid-friendly and representative of our community needs. This will take place during our Planning Forward meeting this spring. But that’s not all… Where we hope to go: Weekly MakerSpace, Friday Clubs with Humanities, Hallway Displays, Streamline STEM Journals, Continue to improve STEM Showcases, and each grade level will adopt a garden bed to take care of throughout the year. In addition, our 2nd - 5th graders designed a STEM Logo for Stripling, and the students at the Paul Duke Printshop are creating a digital image of this logo for us to use next year and in the future. We know STEM is the best tool for us as our students, teachers, and community lead us to a better and brighter future. So, we will continue to keep our eye on the prize and make changes to meet the needs of our community the best way we can.
