THESCON

The Georgia State Thespian Conference

Second Payment and Registration Form are due November 7th! See Sandrew if you have questions!

Thescon is February 1-3 in Columbus, Georgia, on Columbus State Campus!

We'll see numerous TOP performances, you'll meet and network with thousands of theatre students and professionals, have the opportunity to audition for universities, take workshops on a variety of theatre and tech topics, and even have the opportunity to compete in performance or tech!!! We will work on these performances after school! It's going to be SUCH a blast, as anyone who's been will tell you!

We are planning a trip to Georgia Thescon! It will be a 3 day, 2 night trip to Columbus, Georgia, February 1-3, 2024. This is when the festival holds its annual high school theatre conference which includes invited performances of plays and musicals by students from throughout the state, enriching and engaging workshops held by industry professionals, and student acting, musical theatre, and technical theatre event competitions.

The conference is held at Columbus State University in venues such as The Columbus Trade Center, The RiverCenter, The Springer Opera House, and the CSU Riverside Theatre.  When not actively participating in the conference, students may tour the campus, and enjoy the small downtown of Columbus connected to the campus, with restaurants, bookshops, and more.

We are partnering with Lanier High School Theatre for this trip. There are up to 16 spots available, students staying 4 to a room. The cost is $350. We will be taking a bus and staying in the nearby hotel Courtyard by Marriott.  The price includes hotel room, admission to the festival, Seckinger Theatre or Tech T-Shirt and all meals EXCEPT Thursday’s Lunch and Saturday’s Dinner.
