Seckinger Theatre Students and Families,
I am unbelievably proud of our Advanced Theatre students, who ranked in the top three at the GHSA One Act Competition, qualifying them for Regionals. They performed well at both events, representing Seckinger's winning talent, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all who participated!
The One Act Play Festival was such fun, and I am so pleased with every actor and technician! Pulling off 3 (really, 4!) completely different productions in one was a big undertaking! Everyone stepped up to the challenge and delighted audiences with the comedy, drama, and (often) ridiculousness! I look forward to students taking up the opportunity to direct their own one acts in next year's festival as part of the JV Theatre class!
Notably, SKG's Lip Sync Battle will feature all Theatre I and Advanced Theatre students! I hope many can attend, as I am so impressed with their performances! The show is certain to be a blast!

GHSA One Act Success!
Seckinger has secured its place as one of our region's notable theatre programs.
With a simple set and costumes, our students placed in the top 3 at sub-regionals, qualifying them for the regional competition, making clear the quality of their skills as actors and technicians!
They represented Seckinger with enthusiasm and positivity, cheering on every school! I hope they are half as proud of themselves as I am of them!

October's One Act Play Festival!
Our Actors and Technicians performed fabulously in our first ever One Act Play Festival! Their hard work and dedicationw as evident in the three vastly different productions as well as the GHSA competition piece. We are so fortunate to have such talented and ambitious theatre students!
I cannot wait to see what they accomplish with the festival next year!

SKG's Lip Sync BATTLE!
The Performance is Wednesday, November 15th at 6:00pm in the Theatre.
Competitors are eligible for cash prizes! First Place: $100, 2nd Place: $50, 3rd Place: $25
The audience will decide by votes during intermission! Every patron automatically recieves 10 voting tickets.
Additional voting tickets can be purchased 2 for a dollar, or 50 for only $20!
All proceeds go toward building and growing SKG Theatre!
While the votes are counted, every theatre class will be featured performing a routine from a Broadway musical!

Inagural Thespian Inductions Celebration
Next month Seckinger Theatre will host our
Inagural Thespian Induction Celebration on Wednesday, December 6th from 3:30-7:00pm.
The event features inductions ceremony, catered dinner, and Hamilton sing-a-long!
Semi-Formal dress is requested.
Our Inductees are the Guests of Honor!
All other that wish to attend may register on My Payments Plus. Cost is $10.00.
Registrations and RSVP are due by December 4th.
GREASE: High School Edition - Mandatory Parent Information Meeting
We are thrilled to begin working on our next mainstage production, Grease: High School Edition!
To ensure all students and families are in the know about the production prior to auditions and applications, we are holding a mandatory parent/guardian meeting December 6th (after Thespian Inducations).
At this meeting we will deliver audition packets, discuss what to expect at auditions and what should be prepared, discuss fundraising requirements and more.
The meeting should last 30 minutes and will be held in the theatre. For those who cannot attend in person, there will be a zoom option. Please email caroline.sandrew@gcpsk12.org for the link or if you have any questions.

Actors:
Prepare two 1-minute (max) contrasting monologues (for instance, one comedy, one drama, one contemporary, one classical, etc.)
Technicians:
Prepare and present a breif portfolio of your work- pictures, designs, etc.
