*** UGA Information: With recent visits to Summer GVATA Conference by Mr. Hembree & Dr. Settles Livers, new information yearly is given to us about the application process. As of Summer 2025, if a student is in Dual-Enrollment, they can contact UGA's School of Agriculture & Environmental Science in order to be assigned an academic advisor.
This advisor will help you discover what courses in other colleges transfer to UGA, and they will make the plan WITH the student. Please take advantage of this.
For instance - UGA received 47,850 applications for the entering class of 2029 graduates and their freshman class totaled 6,200. Due to the school being a flagship university for the state of Georgia, the goal of the enrolling class roughly averages to 80% in-state and 20% out-of-state acceptance. However, GPA for admissions is not calculated as if your GPA for high school. Please see the UGA Blog Link.
P.S - If you have taken a math or science AP course, it more than likely will not transfer 100% to UGA's course curriculum. It has been stated and advised that students that attend UGA at any point should take all STEM courses at the university. AP Courses that do not transfer may apply to a general elective course. DON'T FRET! Check the link below to see what college courses are transferrable!
